Eating at the divan will give you the real taste and feeling of being in Turkey.
Every dish in Diwan has its own story. From traditional recipes straight from Turkey to modern innovations that have been shaped by our kitchen team and chefs over time. Our service staff and managers welcome you with a hospitality which is our top priority.
Our menu is never finished – we find inspiration everywhere, in new ingredients, new approaches and fresh interpretations of old standards.
We only grill with quality charcoal, because what good is the best meat if you grill with the wrong charcoal? And that’s what sets us apart from other grill restaurants in Vienna.
We also love to eat well. We take care of our meat and the rest of the ingredients. We only serve when the result is 100% convincing.
The smoke of the charcoal that gives the meat its aroma is a real taste experience.
Serpme Kahvalti
This is the name given to the varied Turkish breakfast, which consists of many individual dishes. You are probably familiar with it from the Mediterranean region: Tapas – ours is the breakfast edition.
In Diwan, this breakfast consists of an egg pan of your choice (our sucuk egg pan is highly recommended), French fries, Sigara Börek, fried peppers in sauce, homemade oven-fresh bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese from sheep milk, mozzarella, olives, rocket, butter, jam, honey and nutella.
Did you know?
Turkish coffee is mixed with water in a cezve (a turkish small long-handled pot). It is brought to the boil over a gas flame and cooled to a frothy foam up to three times. The content of the cezve is then emptied into a mocha cup and enjoyed.
Turkish tee
The Turkish tea also called “çay” is THE national drink of Turkish culture. Breakfast without tea is unthinkable for the Turkish community.
But even over the day, it is absolutely the favorite drink. Whether at lunchtime, in the evening, in summer or winter – the “çay” is drunk everywhere. In addition, Turkish tea is a sign of hospitality.
